The story
Small mountain town values, from Helena, Montana.
I founded Big Sky Stamps to share my perspective to others. I believe that to hold a stamp is to hold a snapshot in history, of a time and a place, an entire story wrapped up between those delicate little borders. A Penny Black in your gaze has been to hundreds of places before it got to you. It's seen the world unfold over the course of almost two centuries. The least you can do is hold it in safety, in appreciation for what it represents.
Big Sky Stamps is, and will always be, a family owned business. We operate out of our studio in the heart of the Rockies. In the late 1800's, during the gold rush, small town Helena once boasted more millionaires per capita than anywhere in the world. Preserving great value runs in our blood. Preserving and caring for the most exquisite, the most precious pieces of history I have curated from around the world, and from right here in Helena family collections, runs in mine. Everything here will be personally examined, photographed, and presented to you in the quality that it deserves. Every stamp sold is individually catalogued and vaulted. When you purchase a postage stamp, that stamp is what you receive. So, I invite you to look around, or start a conversation, and get to know our small town values. We really love what we do, and it shows.
