Where we ship
Domestic United States via this site’s checkout. International orders are handled separately — see our International orders page.
Methods and rates
We offer flat-rate shipping options at checkout — typically a Standard service and a faster insured option. Exact rates and any active free-shipping threshold are shown live on the checkout page so you always see what applies before you pay.
We don’t use real-time carrier rate APIs — flat rates are simpler, predictable, and let us focus on packing each order well.
Processing time
Orders ship from Helena, Montana within 1–2 business daysof payment. We don’t ship on weekends or US holidays. You’ll receive an email with tracking the moment your order goes out.
Packaging
Every stamp is sleeved or mounted as appropriate, then packed in a rigid mailer with stiffening so it doesn’t flex in transit. Higher-value pieces get additional padding and (when warranted) a registered or signature service.
Insurance
Standard insurance is included on all orders within posted value limits. If you’d like additional coverage on a higher-value piece, mention it at checkout (notes field) or email us before paying — we’ll quote the upgrade.
Tracking
Tracking numbers are emailed when your package leaves us. You can also see live status on your account page if you have one.
Lost or damaged in transit
If your package arrives damaged, photograph the outer packaging before opening if you can, and email us at info@bigskystamps.com. If a package goes missing in transit, write in and we’ll work it out with the carrier and make you whole.
Questions
We’re a one-person operation. If something is unusual about your order — fragile mounting, gift packing, an exact-day delivery target — just write in and we’ll figure it out.
