1. About
Big Sky Stamps (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a small philately dealer based in Helena, Montana. By using this website (bigskystamps.com), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
2. Listings and descriptions
Each listing’s photo is the actual stamp you receive — there are no stock images. Descriptions, condition notes, and Scott numbers are accurate to the best of our knowledge based on standard catalogs and our hands-on examination. Catalog prices and grading are reference points and not guarantees of resale value.
3. Pricing
Prices are in US dollars. Prices, availability, and shipping rates are subject to change before checkout. Once you complete checkout, the price you paid is locked in for that order.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. By placing an order, you authorize the listed total to be charged to your chosen payment method. We never see or store full card details. Refunds, when due, go back to the original payment method.
5. Order acceptance
Submitting an order constitutes an offer to buy at the listed price. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order — for example, if the item is out of stock, mispriced, or if we suspect fraudulent activity. If we cancel after payment, we’ll refund you in full.
6. Shipping and returns
Shipping terms are described on our Shipping page (and International for non-US orders). Returns are governed by our Returns policy. Both are part of these terms.
7. Accounts
If you create an account, you’re responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that occurs under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or that we believe are being used for fraud.
8. Acceptable use
Don’t do anything obviously illegal or harmful through the site: no scraping that disrupts service, no attempts to break security, no using the site to harass or defraud anyone. We reserve the right to block users who do.
9. Intellectual property
Photographs, descriptions, and editorial copy on this site are the property of Big Sky Stamps unless otherwise credited. You’re welcome to share links to specific listings; please don’t republish full images or copy at scale without permission. Stamp imagery is shown for identification and sale; copyright in the original stamp designs belongs to their respective rights holders.
10. Warranties and disclaimer
We describe each item to the best of our ability. Beyond what’s expressly stated in a listing or in our Returns policy, the site and items are provided “as is” without other warranties — express or implied — including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We aren’t liable for incidental or consequential damages (lost time, lost profits, etc.).
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can’t be resolved by talking it out (which we always try first) will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Montana.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date, and meaningful changes will be communicated to active customers by email.
