$249.00

Scott #573, the $5 Carmine Lake and Dark Blue "America" from the 1922–25 Fourth Bureau Issue. Mint, never hinged, with fresh original gum and brilliant color in both the carmine frame and the deep blue vignette. Centering is exceptional — wide, balanced margins on all four sides — with sharp impression and intact perforations, as well as a visible Guideline from the Centerline block. Accompanied by PSAG certificate 0604080, grading the stamp XF 90 and confirming original gum, never hinged. The high-denomination key to the Fourth Bureau set, the only stamp in this issue printed in bi-color. Notoriously difficult to find well-centered with fresh color, particularly so at this grade level.
